Stop discounting. Give fans a reason to buy.
A discount gives money away before anything happens. An outcome-based offer keeps the price and adds a trigger event to cheer for.

Say you have 1,200 seats left for a Tuesday game against Denver. The usual move is a discount: take 30% off, send the email, hope it works.
It often does, for a night. But the discount goes to everyone who was going to buy anyway, it takes margin off every seat, and it teaches fans to wait for the next one.
Start with the purchase
An outcome-based offer keeps the price and adds something to cheer for. Fans buy at full price, and 20% to 100% of the purchase comes back if a trigger event they care about happens.
Buy a ticket for Tuesday. If the Wolves win, 50% of your ticket comes back as team credit.
Nothing is given away up front. The fan pays full price today and gets money back only if the trigger event happens. If it doesn’t, the sale stands as it is.
Why fans respond
- It’s simple. One sentence: buy this, and if that happens, this comes back.
- It’s theirs to cheer for. Fans already want the win. Now the win means a little more.
- It comes back to you. The money back arrives as team credit, so it gets spent at your store, your stands or your box office.
Who pays when the trigger event happens
That’s COVR’s job. You agree the coverage price before launch and pay it as tickets sell. If the trigger event happens, COVR pays your team, and you credit your fans however you like.
